Lonnie Walker! Goodbye Greenville!

I think I might be leaving Greenville one day early. Things with Lonnie Walker went really fucking fast. We did six songs total:

Back Home Inside with You
Get Back Home
Pendulum's Chest
Summertime
Suspicious Compound
Wider Than White

Most of the songs were tracked live. I'm gonna upload two songs, probably. They are totally unmixed. I was like, "I'll go out and have some beers, and then I'll mix!" It didn't really work. Revision!

Here's a video. Sometimes you just need to have the sound of a bottle breaking in a song! This was for the song "Summertime". BDC, who plays guitar and sings has the mic. Raymond is the drummer, and is in charge of throwing the beer bottle against the wall out back of the Backdoor Skateshop, where were were recording.

Beer!

Lonnie Walker sounds really awesome - they are loose in a good way. They have a very full sound that lends itself to the the kind of live sound that you've got - makes it sound fresh and energetic. I like the lyrics and what you have done to the voice. It's a little hard to hear in "summertime", but I guess it's unmixed.

It's funny because you can kind of hear that they are recording in the same room as Future Islands if you compare two tracks.

You are building up a nice collection of songs on the player, huh?

I'd like to hear more follow-up on the previous sections, but I know you're a bizzy bizzy birthday boy.
